Welcome to Cardiff, the University, and our exciting new course in Computational and Data Journalism. We are really looking forward to meeting you very shortly and starting work!
Cardiff is a very welcoming city for students – wherever they are from – and I am sure you will find your way around and settle in swiftly. However if you need advice or help the University has support services who are here to ensure you have the best start possible. Just let us know if you are concerned about anything.
The School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC) and the School of Computer Science & Informatics (COMSC) are leading centres for teaching and research in their fields which attract students from around the world. So you will be in good company.
Formal sessions start in September where you will meet your fellow students on the MSc and students on other Masters courses who you will be working alongside. We have an exciting programme lined up for you – so have a safe journey and see you soon.
Best wishes
